Community Forestry Advisory Council
The Community Forestry Advisory Council is an established as a subcommittee of the Forest Advisory Board.
The Community Forestry Advisory Council works in partnership with the Division of Forests & Lands, UNH Cooperative Extension, other state and municipal agencies, and community forestry professionals.
Its mission is to promote the stewardship of urban and rural forest landscapes to enhance the quality of life in New Hampshire communities.
The mission is achieved in part by:
- Providing advice, suggestions and guidance in an advisory capacity to those who develop and implement New Hampshire's Community Forestry Program
- Providing opportunities for public input regarding the ongoing New Hampshire Community Forestry Program
- Facilitating dialogue between diverse interests and help resolve conflicts with resource decision making
Council members are appointed by the director of the Division of Forests & Lands.
